Garrett is a multimedia artist currently studying performance based-media art in Boulder, Colorado. Work he is drawn to create often revolves around religious and spiritual thematics, and how these manifest as personal or communal emotional sentiment. How modern technologies within fashion photography, or narrative soundscapes can reverberate the liminality of acknowledging the spirit. Often using gender expression as a medium, integrated performance often enters his work through character design, or creating under personas in personal projects. This extends into the commerciality of persona when taking portraits or working with actors and models, as I am always pushing the limits of how much someone can perform for the sake of performing.
Currently he creates daily out of passion and collaboratively with other like-minded artists. He has formal experience in photo and video editing, and self-taught experience working with and producing sound. Currently he is a creative director for ROAM boulder, a student-run art and fashion magazine on campus, and from this has gained experience in translating other peoples ideas into plausible projects that they can create.
